Chowmainsoft has updated its Hikvision driver for Control4, adding support for three door stations: The DS-KV6114-WBE1, DS-KV6114-MWBE1 and DS-KV6124-WBE1.

The update integrates intercom, access control and automation functions into Control4 without requiring custom firmware or additional Hikvision hardware.

The driver allows users to receive and answer door station calls through Control4 touchscreens and mobile apps, including when away from home. Users can also view live video from the door station without an incoming call and control up to two doors through the Control4 interface.

Access control features include keycode management for family members and visitors, event triggers for valid and invalid code entries, motion detection and relay control for unlocking doors and gates. Integrators can also add custom buttons to the Control4 intercom interface to trigger programming, such as opening a gate, unlocking a door or activating a scene.

The integration can be configured to trigger entrance lighting when motion is detected, notify home owners of unsuccessful access attempts or activate a welcome-home scene when an authorised user unlocks the door.

The updated driver retains support for compatible Hikvision cameras and network video recorders (NVRs), including live video, pan-tilt-zoom camera control, camera-event automation, facial recognition terminals and recorded footage playback through Acuseek NVRs.

The update is free for existing licence holders, who can access the new features by updating to the latest driver version.
