Josh.ai adds myQ, PowerShades and Sonos Amp Multi integrations
Josh.ai has expanded its smart home control platform with new integrations for myQ garage door systems, PowerShades motorised blinds and Sonos Amp Multi, alongside reliability improvements for supported Samsung TVs.
Delivered through an over-the-air update, the enhancements are available across Josh.ai systems and expand integration options for residential technology installers.

The myQ integration, developed in collaboration with Intrinsic Development, allows users to open, close and stop compatible Chamberlain and LiftMaster garage doors through Josh.ai. Users can also control garage lighting connected to myQ systems.
The integration allows dealers to incorporate garage access into broader home automation systems alongside lighting, security and other connected devices. The certified myQ driver is available for purchase through Intrinsic Development and can be installed on a per-project basis.
The driver was developed using Josh.ai’s Nimble DevSuite, which enables independent developers to create certified integrations for the platform. Intrinsic Development worked with Josh.ai’s engineering team to develop the integration.
Josh.ai has also added support for PowerShades through a driver developed by Chowmainsoft using Nimble DevSuite. The integration supports the PowerShades RF Gateway and PoE Gen 1 and Gen 2 motors, allowing users to open, close, stop and adjust blinds through Josh.ai’s touch, text and voice interfaces.
The PowerShades integration is available globally across Josh.ai systems at no additional cost for new and existing projects.
The latest update also improves standby power-on reliability for supported Samsung TVs released from 2024 onwards, including The Frame range. Integrated Samsung TVs can now report their current channel to Josh.ai, providing additional information for system control.
Existing integrations will migrate automatically through the over-the-air update, with no additional configuration required from dealers.
For whole-home audio, Josh.ai has introduced support for Sonos Amp Multi, allowing each output to appear as a separate Sonos stream within the control platform. This enables independent music playback across up to four zones.
Users can select content, adjust volume and group audio zones through the Active Media Hub in the Josh app. Installers can also incorporate Josh.ai’s VoiceCast feature to broadcast responses and notifications through architectural speakers connected to the system.
The updates expand Josh.ai’s integration options across access control, shading, entertainment and distributed audio, giving installers additional flexibility when designing connected home systems.
