Shade Innovations launches Wireless TriMesh Zigbee platform
Shade Innovations has launched Wireless TriMesh, a Zigbee control platform designed to improve reliability, monitoring and troubleshooting for large-scale motorised shading installations.
The platform operates three independent Zigbee mesh networks across separate channels, allowing large installations to be segmented and helping isolate network issues. Integrators can also reassign channels independently to respond to changing wireless interference without recommissioning the system.

Wireless TriMesh includes a built-in 2.4GHz spectrum analyser to monitor channel health, alongside live mesh mapping and diagnostics that show network devices, communication routes and signal paths.
The system also supports site-file backup and restore, allowing integrators to recover configurations if a coordinator fails or needs replacing. Shade Innovations says this can eliminate the need to rebuild the Zigbee network or re-pair every device following a hardware replacement.
Additional features include commercial-grade coordinators and antennas, PoE, WiFi and USB connectivity, native Zigbee groups and scenes for synchronised shade movement.
Wireless TriMesh also integrates with Home Assistant, enabling local control and automation without relying on cloud connectivity. Through Home Assistant, users can integrate shades with Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
“TriMesh changes that, delivering real-time spectrum health, live mesh mapping and true diagnostics, with the resiliency to prevent costly truck rolls and network rebuilds,” Shade Innovations founder and chief executive Ryan Gustafson says.
“This isn’t just a shade feature, it’s a new infrastructure standard for the connected home.”
