Chowmainsoft Williams AV Infinium Plugin joins Q-SYS Library
Chowmainsoft has made its Williams AV Infinium Plugin available through the Q-SYS Library as a Q-SYS Verified Plugin, giving AV integrators a way to configure and manage Williams AV’s Infinium Auracast broadcast audio system through Q-SYS.
Infinium is a modular Bluetooth Auracast broadcast audio system designed for commercial AV applications including assistive listening, language interpretation, audio immersion and real-time audio distribution. The system provides low-latency, high-fidelity audio to compatible Auracast devices including hearing aids, cochlear implants, headphones and dedicated Infinium receivers.

The Chowmainsoft plugin provides control and monitoring of Infinium controllers and transmitters, with configuration available through Q-SYS. The plugin supports system information including IP address, API key, hostname, model, MAC address and software and hardware versions, as well as controller reboot functions.
Status monitoring includes Channel 1 and Channel 2 audio sources, microphone gain and power status, and Dante link status.
For Infinium transmitters, the plugin allows integrators to select controllers and transmitters, transmission power and sample rates, configure Dante names and control LED states. Stereo operation can also be enabled or disabled, with the current state displayed through the plugin.
The controls page provides configuration of channel broadcast names, Dante channels and devices, passcodes and audio encryption. Integrators can also enable or disable broadcasts and audio, view their current states and generate and display QR codes for broadcast channels.
The QR code function allows users to scan and access broadcast information, helping simplify connection to the appropriate Auracast channel.
The plugin also incorporates Infinium’s Enhanced Scale and Management (ESM) functionality, allowing AV teams to configure, monitor and expand systems through a centralised web interface. This supports deployments ranging from individual rooms through to larger multi-space installations.
