Webber Insurance launches packaged cover for systems integrators

Webber Insurance Services has launched Australia’s first packaged insurance solution developed specifically for systems integration businesses, promoted by Master Integrator.

Available exclusively through Webber Insurance Services, the solution combines Professional Indemnity, Cyber and General Liability insurance within a single packaged policy, with cover designed around the range of work undertaken by integrators across technology, design and the built environment.

Systems integrators can be responsible for professional advice, system design, programming, installation, equipment supply and ongoing technical support. The combination of services can make it difficult for businesses to secure insurance that accurately reflects their activities, potentially creating gaps between policies or areas of cover.

“Traditional insurance products can struggle to accommodate businesses operating across technology, design, construction and professional services,” Webber Insurance Services director Daniel Webber says.

“This solution brings three important areas of cover together in a package developed around the integration industry. Our brokers can also provide personalised advice, arrange quotations, manage renewals and support clients throughout the claims process.”

Master Integrator founder and managing director Paul Skelton says the package addressed an often-overlooked need within the integration industry.

“Integrators don’t fit neatly into a conventional trade or technology category. They may design a system, specify and supply equipment, undertake installation and programming, and then provide ongoing remote or onsite support,” he says.

“That breadth of responsibility is one of the industry’s strengths, but it can also make insurance complicated. This new solution has been developed specifically around the way integration businesses operate, giving them access to relevant cover through a broker that understands their work.”

Webber Insurance Services has supported Australian businesses with insurance advice and broking services since 2011. Its brokers worked with Master Integrator to understand the activities undertaken by modern integration businesses and develop the packaged solution.
