Redback launches 60W Dante zone amplifier for commercial PA systems
Redback, distributed by Altronics, has launched the AD4218, a 60W Dante-enabled zone amplifier designed for commercial public address systems.
The half-rack, Class-D amplifier provides Dante and balanced line inputs, along with 100V line and 8Ω outputs, and can be combined with other amplifiers to maximise rack space.

Designed for zone-based PA installations, the AD4218 can receive Dante audio over UTP Ethernet and route it to connected loudspeakers. Multiple amplifiers can be installed within 1RU of 19” rack space, while a mounting bracket adaptor is available for single-amplifier installations.
The amplifier provides 60W of output power and features bass and treble controls, a selectable high-pass filter and front-panel LED indicators for signal, clipping and protection status.
Connections are provided through pluggable Euroblock connectors, with the amplifier offering a balanced line input alongside its Dante network connection. Protection features include short-circuit, overload and high-temperature protection.
The AD4218 is designed for commercial PA applications where Dante audio distribution and multiple audio zones are required, while its compact form factor allows installers to accommodate multiple amplifiers within a single rack space.
