GUDE Systems integrates smart PDUs with Lightware software

GUDE Systems has integrated its IP-based smart power distribution units (PDUs) with Lightware’s Advanced Room Automation (LARA) platform, allowing AV equipment and power distribution to be managed through the same automation workflows.

The GUDE driver module enables GUDE’s Expert Power Control series to be added and configured directly within LARA. The integration provides centralised monitoring of connected equipment and power consumption, as well as event logging for tracking system changes. Individual devices can also be remotely rebooted over the local network, reducing the need for on-site intervention.

Automated startup and shutdown routines can be configured through LARA, while GUDE devices can be added as instances within the platform to simplify commissioning.

“Modern AV systems increasingly combine technologies from different manufacturers, making interoperability and centralised control essential,” Lightware chief executive Gergely Vida says.

“Our integration with GUDE expands LARA’s capabilities and enables integrators to consolidate device control, room automation, and GUDE power management within LARA.”

The integration is designed for corporate, education and conference environments, as well as larger distributed AV systems and other networked installations requiring centralised monitoring and management.
