Biamp has released EasyConnect MPX 250 firmware 1.3, introducing API control to enable deeper integration with room automation and third-party control systems.

The update allows integrators to control MPX 250 switching through Biamp Control and compatible third-party platforms, enabling switching commands and status information to be incorporated into broader room automation workflows.

Integrators can coordinate BYOM mode changes with lighting, displays, projector screens, shades and other room systems, while users can switch modes directly from a room controller for a simpler meeting room experience.

Biamp has also updated Workplace Tools 1.2.0, which now supports setup, monitoring, configuration and management of EasyConnect MPX 250 devices through the same platform used across supported Biamp products.

EasyConnect MPX 250 firmware 1.3 and Workplace Tools 1.2.0 are available now.
