Josh.ai has launched native support for DMX and DALI lighting protocols, giving custom integrators greater flexibility to incorporate architectural lighting systems into smart home projects.

The release introduces support for DMF and Nicolaudie gateways, allowing Josh.ai to control a wider range of lighting systems through its voice, touch and text interfaces. By supporting two of the industry’s most widely used lighting protocols, installers and lighting designers can specify compatible fixtures without sacrificing integrated smart home control.

Through its partnership with DMF Lighting, Josh.ai supports its PhaseX gateway, enabling control of light brightness, tunable white, colour temperature and lighting scenes for compatible PhaseX downlights and linear fixtures.

Support for Nicolaudie includes the Dina DR1, Dina DR2 and Dina SR1 controllers, with dimming, colour control and lighting effects. Colour temperature control for compatible fixtures will be added in a future Nicolaudie firmware update.
