Zyxel Networks has launched the NWA55AX PRO and NWA55AX PTP, designed to provide reliable wireless connectivity in outdoor, industrial and long-range environments.

The additions target managed service providers (MSPs) deploying WiFi across business, hospitality, education and residential applications.

Both access points are managed through Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud platform, allowing MSPs to remotely deploy, monitor and optimise wireless networks. The devices are designed for locations where extending connectivity beyond the main building is required, including industrial sites, campuses, cafes, restaurants and homes.

The NWA55AX PRO delivers WiFi 6 performance of up to AX3000 and features an IP55-rated enclosure for weather-resistant operation. It’s intended for smaller industrial sites, business premises, campuses and home offices that require reliable outdoor wireless coverage.

The NWA55AX PTP is supplied as a paired point-to-point solution capable of creating wireless links over distances of up to 5km. The device is suited to applications including education campuses, stadiums, event venues, resorts, transport hubs and other sites where buildings or infrastructure need to be connected without laying additional cabling.

“With these additions to our range, MSPs can target potentially fertile and fast-growing areas of the market, offering enterprise-class performance at SMB prices and easy manageability through Nebula,” Zyxel Networks ANZ regional head Gary Chen says.
