Harman International acquires Masimo Consumer
Harman International, a Samsung-owned company, has acquired Masimo Consumer’s audio business for A$538 (US$350) million.
It plans to combine Masimo’s audio business with Harman to strengthen its position in the consumer audio market, which is expected to grow from US$60.8 billion in 2025 to US$70 billion in 2029, Samsung says in a statement.

The sale includes the Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Polk and Marantz brands, which will now join Harman’s portfolio of premium audio brands including JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG, Mark Levinson, Arcam and Revel.
“Finding the right home for this business has been a stated priority of the new board from day one. This transaction represents an important milestone as we continue to position the Company to achieve our goals of accelerating revenue growth while delivering disciplined margins,” Masimo Board of Directors vice chairman Quentin Koffey says.
“Masimo has tremendous opportunities ahead, and we are confident we have the right healthcare-focused strategy, experienced leadership team and culture of innovation in place to build on our significant positive momentum.”
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2025, subject to receiving necessary regulatory approvals.
