Krix has launched the UCX-218, its most powerful home cinema subwoofer.

The speaker features dual 18” high-excursion drivers, configured in a dual-opposing layout to eliminate mechanical vibration and deliver clean, uncoloured bass. It is also engineered to reproduce infra-bass frequencies down to 10Hz.

“The UCX-218 is more than just a subwoofer,” Krix managing director Gary Krix says.

“It’s a statement of our commitment to deliver precision engineering and exceptional sound experiences for home theatres and cinemas alike.”

Other key features of the subwoofer are flexible placement options, and it is made in Australia, backed by 50 years of loudspeaker expertise.

Weighing 91kg in total, the UCX-218 is shipped in three parts and has a frequency range of 10Hz to 200Hz.
