What is Rhapsody?

Launched in December 2001, Rhapsody offers streaming on-demand access to a library of digital music which spans over six million. Rhapsody isn’t a free service, and membership plans are available for users. Although downloaded files come with restrictions on their use, in general you can listen to millions of songs, thousands of artists and create or share different playlists.

The biggest issue surrounding Rhapsody is the debate on whether or not it is a legal service. While it is technically legal to use this music service in the United States, this issue remains blurred for users in Australia.
