CEDIA has announced the results for its four newly-elected directors who will serve on the 2020-2021 Board of Directors. The 41-day voting period resulted in Melanie Malcolm being elected to fill the EMEA position and Jamie Briesemeister, Bill Skaer and Amanda Wildman for the rest of the world.

Melanie Malcolm will finish out her current term on the current Board of Directors before moving beginning her next term. She is the co-founder and co-owner of the UK-based Bespoke Home Cinemas and has served in various roles including Strategy Advisory Council (SAC) chair for global accessibility and chair of the Smart Home Apprenticeship Trailblazer Committee in the UK among others.

Jamie Briesemeister is an avid speaker at various conferences and seminars and often contributes to information sessions, panel discussions and more. She is the chief executive and co-founder of Integration Controls.

Senior managing partner of Bill Skaer and Associates LLC, the former US Air Force management analyst has served as a CEDIA volunteer and board member for seven terms and in 2006 won the CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award.

And last but not least, Amanda Wildman, current chair of the CEDIA Professional Development Advisory Council, will be joining the Board of Directors for the upcoming term. Owner of TruMedia, Amanda has spent her time in various roles within CEDIA.

“The collection of skills and experiences our board leadership brings to bear is exceptional and the four elected directors will answer the call,” CEDIA global president and chief executive Tabatha O’Connor says.

“As the industry, organisation, and needs of membership continue to evolve, we’re excited to have a board of directors that can respond and take action that moves us to the next level.”

Candidates nominated for appointed positions are currently being reviewed by CEDIA’s Governance Committee. From there, the committee will make recommendations on who should be appointed to what member type.

Members also voted to approve the domestication of CEDIA from Illinois to Indiana.
