LG Electronics USA used the occasion of the CEDIA Expo to introduce its new CineBeam 4K UHD projector.

The projector uses a four-channel LED light source to generate red, green and blue, with the fourth LED boosting image brightness, contrast and generating more vivid colours. It is IP controllable via Control4, Savant and Crestron.

LG also showcased the HU85LA CineBeam Laser Projector, its first Ultra Short Throw model which generates 2,700 ANSI lumens and delivers image up to 120 inches from just 7.2 inches away from the wall.

Both projectors also give users direct access to streaming apps including Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and more through LG’s webOS 4.5 platform.

LG Electronics USA head of home entertainment product marketing Tim Alessi says there is a growing demand for more versatile, larger-screen viewing experiences in the home.

“Our new CineBeam 4K projectors combine innovative compact designs with stunning 4K images for a breathtaking home cinema experience.”
