Yamaha has added two new models to its sound bar range, both of which come with built-in Alexa voice control and microphone.

Both the YAS-109 and YAS-209 support Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround decoding as well as DTS Virtual:X for immersive 3D surround sound. Both models offer enhanced music playback capabilities over Bluetooth and music streaming via WiFi.

The YAS-109 is an all-in-one design with built-in subwoofers for easy installation, while the YAS-209 includes a separate wireless subwoofer that gives more flexible placement options.

Yamaha Music Australia AV division product and training manager Boyd Gill says: “Voice control enables users to simplify their home entertainment system. There’s no excuse in having to put up with hard-to-hear audio from your TV, and now it’s easier than ever.”
