ATEN, a subsidiary of ATEN International, has announced it will be hosting 30 of its customers, end-users and industry leaders at the inaugural ‘Cooking with Technology: an ATEN Experience’ workshop.

The event will take place on 20 February at the VIVE Cooking School in the Sydney suburb of Rosebery. Guests will learn to cook a meal from celebrity chef, author, 2010 MasterChef champion and host of the SBS food and travel program Destination Flavour, Adam Liaw.

ATEN’s video distribution technology will be used to capture and distribute up-close images of Adam’s cooking throughout the facility so attendees are able to see exactly what’s happening on stage.

“At ATEN, we sell all of the ingredients you need to make the perfect mix of form and function when it comes to technology in your premises. We are dedicated to ensuring everybody – from integrator to end user – has access to the best technology on offer,” says ATEN ANZ managing director Wesley Wong.

“That’s why after the Cooking with Technology event has concluded, we’ll be gifting all of the technology we install for this event to VIVE for future use in its classroom.”

ATEN is introducing a tailored solution at VIVE that includes the VM5808H HDMI matrix switch with scaler, the ATEN control system – Compact Control Box VK1100 and the VC480 3G-SDI to HDMI/audio converter.

“This particular setup, while created with the cooking school in mind, could be replicated in other facilities and even in homes, where content creators thrive. ATEN is the global leading solution provider of video distribution and KVM. Now we are on a mission to let Australian companies know exactly what is possible in their facilities,” says Wesley.
