WyreStorm launches H2L Series 4K HDR Matrix Switcher lineWyreStorm, which is distributed by Hills, today released the H2L Series –Class B HDBaseT additions to its matrix switcher line.

Available in 6×6 and 8×8 models, the H2L Series matrix switchers build on the success of H2 Class A HDBaseT in terms of support for both 2K and 4K UHD video sources, including HDR, HDCP.2.2 and multichannel audio up to DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.

WyreStorm’s QuickSync instant switching is included for uncompressed single frame end-to-end latency, as well as WyreStorm’s new SmartEDID technology. This addresses the rise in mixed resolution installations with dynamic management of EDID signals from combined 1080p and 4K displays, which combats the resolution conflicts within 2K/4K systems.

The H2L uses Class B HDBaseT technology for transmission distance up to 35m for 4K and 70m for 1080p. It combines residential-focused features such as HDR at 10-bit for superior image quality and PoH. This enables the remote power receivers to eliminate the need for local power supplies at display locations, reducing layers of connectivity and potential points of failure in a system.

Bidirectional IR pass-through offers source and sink control, RS-232 supports WyreStorm Enado and other major third party control systems, and an embedded Web UI enables setup, configuration and matrix switching all within a simple, easy to use interface accessible from a computer or laptop.
