Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) members are now a few clicks away from information on the hottest trends and technology innovations.

CEDIA has launched one of the most resourceful member benefits exclusively for members – CEDIA Crosspoint, a web portal designed to compile a vast knowledge base of information on what shapes the landscape now and in the future.

Developed by CEDIA’s Technology Council, Crosspoint is designed to serve as a direct line of communication with trade suppliers and electronic systems professional members. The system includes collective information to help members build their businesses.

“Crosspoint allows CEDIA to research and respond to hot issues and future trends, keeping CEDIA members at the forefront of the industry,” Technology Council chairman Rich Green said.

“It will evolve into a powerhouse of resources that will help members get answers to all things technical while gaining useful insights pertinent to the industry.”

Crosspoint consists of four main components that foster, monitor and report information including high-profile blogs, forums, an audio and video library, and a resource centre.

All information will include tag clouds to make navigation user-friendly, and each component will cover an array of categories.
In the coming months the Technology Council will introduce a Manufacturer’s Corner to Crosspoint.

“As with all innovations, it takes time,” Rich said.

“We are encouraging members to contribute in forum discussions and use information in other areas of the system. They can participate by sharing best-practice tips – and even edit content if necessary.”

Members who would like to contribute a video, article or other pertinent information to Crosspoint should visit www.cediacrosspoint.com
