The awards are a global initiative and has become an important platform for the CEDIA Asia Pacific members to share their work and showcase their expertise and achievements.

Among the winners were local Western Australian companies, Surround Sounds and
Surround Custom.

Surround Sounds took out the Best Media Room category award for a locally Zorzi built home and also were highly commended in the Best Integrated Home Installation $150,000 – $300,000, this time for a regional Zorzi built home.

Surround Custom snared the award for Best Dressed Residential Project, showcasing best project presentation behind the scenes and was highly commended in Best Integrated Home Installation over $300,000 category.

Surround Custom Director Sol Marrington says ‘These awards are testament to our teams that continue to pioneer, endeavor and pursue with creative flair the application of home entertainment and smart home technologies into modern home design. It just shows that the Western Australian reflected quality of lifestyle and home building is on a world class scale.’

With judging this year exclusively handled by American industry professionals, the voting panel was said to ‘blown away’ with the Australian calibre of entries and these stand equally with anything being done around the globe today in residential technology innovation.

The prestigious awards recognise and promote high quality system design, installation and integration within the custom electronic automation industry; setting the standard for CEDIA Electronic Systems Professional members across the CEDIA Asia Pacific region.
