Voice Control now available in Australia on Yamaha MusicCast products
Yamaha MusicCast devices can now be controlled with voice commands using Amazon Alexa. The functionality comes off the back of the recent release of the Smart and Custom Skills on the Australian Alexa Skills store.
Yamaha has been developing a range of voice commands to improve control of their MusicCast products, which are now compatible with Amazon Alexa enabled devices.

All Yamaha MusicCast devices are compatible with Amazon Alexa, providing the latest firmware is installed and running the current version of the MusicCast app.
In addition, all new Aventage Series 9 AV Receivers purchased from authorised Aventage stockists in Australia will come with a complimentary Amazon Echo Dot, so customers can easily take advantage of latest technology in voice control and home cinema simultaneously.
An Amazon Alexa-enabled device (Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus or Echo Spot) is required to use Amazon Alexa with Yamaha MusicCast products. An Australian Amazon account is required to use Amazon Alexa and Echo devices.
