VIZIO #1 in LCD shipments

VIZIO’s successful sales quarter includes success in key performance categories including over 300% Full HD 1080p YOY growth and 101% QOQ growth in 55” HDTVs. According to DisplaySearch reports, VIZIO also had the strongest YOY unit growth rate in the 40″+ and 1080p LCD TVs amongst its top 5 competitors and was the category leader in North American 21.5-24”, 26”, 32”, and 37” class HDTVs.

VIZIO HDTVs are merchandised with the most efficient retail partners in the industry like Costco Wholesale, Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Target stores who all merchandise HDTVs at incredible values. With this strong retail presence the brand’s LCD TV unit shipments grew 11% from 1,351,860 in the first quarter to 1,490,096 in Q’2 2009.
“VIZIO was the #2 LCD TV brand on a shipment basis in North America during Q2′ 09 with a market share of over 16%, achieving the highest rate of unit growth among the top 5 brands.
