TiVo achieves record summer sales
The new recommended price of $499 kick-started sales in November 2010 and this strong sales performance continued through Christmas and right up to end of February 2011.
Market share for TiVo has grown from 18% per cent in October 2010 to 29% in December 2010 according to GfK data.
“Australians have embraced the TiVo brand since our launch in August 2008 and our recent success over Christmas is a testimony to the fact that people love their TV shows and love being in control of when they watch them,” says Hybrid TV chief executive Robbee Minicola.

“This represents an amazing outcome for the entire 2010 calendar year where we have maintained our position as the number one HD-PVR sold in the market.
“Our leading sales position would not happen without the tremendous support of JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, Myer and Radio Rentals (SA). They know our product, the features and repeatedly recommend TiVo to families, seniors and singles day in and day out.”
Hybrid TV expects to maintain its number one market leadership throughout 2011.
