Comprising the Mercury V1 stand mount, the potent V4 floorstander, the dedicated Mercury VC centre channel speaker and the compact wall mount Mercury VR rear speaker, the range offers flexible stereo or multi-channel configuration. Smaller models have built-in wall-mount hardware with the compact VR offering flush fitting key way mounts. Tonally matched and offering high-power handling across the range, Mercury V can deliver the subtle nuances of high-fidelity music and the full scale drama of home cinema.

Key upgrades from Mercury F Custom include slightly larger cabinets with revised bracing for deeper and more accurate bass response and a new ultra light pulp fibre mid/bass cone with considerably faster LF dynamic attack. The new Mercury V soft-dome tweeter is engineered to tolerances generally found on much more costly loudspeaker designs, giving the range top-end extension and a natural, spacious sound.

The crossover has been thoroughly upgraded from previous generations, now adding high purity silver plated wiring and enhanced Differential Material TechnologyTM (DMT) damping on the HF capacitors. This high-tech engineering has been distilled down from Tannoy’s high-end loudspeaker designs, ensuring Mercury V delivers class-leading acoustic performance.

The result is a more powerful Mercury sound, along with the rich bass and articulate mid-band for which the Mercury series has been famed. Mercury V delivers fast, dynamic LF punch with a detailed and fluid high frequency performance. Higher power handling ensures they can be driven hard with movies and music yet remained subtle and refined at everyday listening levels.
