Synergy Audio announces ELAC distributorship
Based in Kiel, North Germany, an enthusiastic team lives and breathes loudspeaker design and manufacture. Every ELAC loudspeaker is represents the finest in German engineering and design and contains many proprietary technologies. These include the world famous JET 5 tweeter, one of the leading Air Motion Transducers currently available, as well as the Crystal Membrane AS-XR bass driver.
Quality and a passion for music is what drives the ELAC team. For this reason, every ELAC loudspeaker is checked and thoroughly tested by the ELAC’s QC department before final approvals are given. The strive for perfection in music reproduction holds just as true today as it did when the company was founded in 1926.
The new Line 70
Designing excellent and affordable loudspeakers requires expertise in production processes and, above all, an understanding of acoustics. ELAC combines both of these skills in the new Line 70. No less than five models are available from retailers worldwide, from the ultracompact two-way BS 72 to the large three-way FS 78 floor-standing model with twin bass drivers. For home cinema fans, ELAC offers the dedicated CC 71 center loudspeaker, with optional low-frequency support from two subwoofer models: the SUB 2025 and SUB 2030.

In a class in which vinyl finishes are the norm, all models of the new Line 70 stand out with their subtle lacquered cabinets. The matte black membranes of the low and midrange drivers are paired with a silk dome tweeter. Audiophile credentials common to all models include high efficiency and striking dynamics.
The new Line 260
The JET tweeter has made high-end history. The meticulously folded membrane structure inspired by Oskar Heil is considered one of the fastest, most refined, and detailed tweeters available anywhere today. Currently in its further-improved 5th generation, the JET tweeter is a unique selling proposition for ELAC, and one that can only be manufactured at its company headquarters in Kiel. Now in the Line 260, this high-end drive unit is set to remain ahead of the curve in every sense. ELAC is initially launching two models featuring a new curved cabinet design: the compact BS 263 and the FS 267 floor-standing model. Also on board are the company’s own bass/midrange drive units with their characteristic crystal membrane. The internal crossover boasts large air-core coils and foil capacitors, with wiring by Van den Hul. The high end from Kiel has never looked better.
