Stream TV on demand with Telstra TV

telstra_tvTelstra has announced the new Telstra TV streaming device will be available for purchase by Telstra customers from Tuesday, 27 October.

Telstra TV is a streaming player that allows Telstra home broadband customers to watch streaming services, rent blockbuster films from BigPond Movies and catch up on TV shows on their compatible TV. Telstra TV provides access to15 services including apps for Presto and Netflix, as well as a number of television catch up services including SBS on Demand, PLUS7 and 9JumpIn. In addition, Australian streaming service Stan will be available on Telstra TV in November.

Telstra chief marketing officer and group executive media Joe Pollard said Telstra TV responds to the growing demand for simple and flexible home entertainment that allows consumers to access their favourite TV series, movies and content directly to their television.

“Telstra TV puts our customers in control of what they watch and gives them even greater value entertainment choices in the home,” Ms Pollard said.

“Whether you love to binge watch the latest television series, enjoy a family movie night, or catch up on free to air shows you missed during the week, Telstra TV is the simple way to stream your favourite television on demand.

“The powerful combination of our world-class networks and quality, differentiated content, and ease of use give our customers an entertainment experience that is truly world class.”

Telstra has partnered with Roku Inc., which is renowned for its streaming platform and producing world-class streaming devices, with an exciting variety of entertainment choices.

Andrew Ferrone, Vice President of Pay TV at Roku said, “We are very excited to unveil Telstra TV, which is powered by Roku, and give Australian consumers a simple and flexible way to stream their favourite content direct to their television. With Telstra TV, consumers have more choice and control over what they watch and when they watch it.”
