Stealth Acoustics has upgraded its existing FX series product line to the LR series. The upgrade will consist of a materials change resulting in easier installation and increased performance across the entire product line.

Stealth Acoustics products are designed to fit seamlessly into your home or business’ decor and offer superb sound reproduction while leaving your walls or ceilings completely clean and free of bulky speaker boxes or unsightly grills.

The first model to receive the upgrade will be the LR6. Replacing the entry-level FX6 speaker, the LR6 will retain the same easy-to-work-with footprint, classic six inch woofer, neodymium tweeter, and protected crossover. The new face panel material will retain all of the positive traits Stealth Acoustics products have been known for over the years but will boast a new ultra-smooth finish and increased durability.

While the original invisible speaker was primarily designed as an entry level, background music speaker, the newest incarnation (LR6) will see markedly improved performance, power handling, and sound quality delivering a truly amazing audio experience to the customer – without a single speaker grill in sight.

Like all Stealth Acoustics products, the LR6 is designed to mount between two frame members and be finished into the wallboard. Like a simple drywall patch, the seams are filled and sanded leaving the smooth wall and speaker ready to be finished with any number of popular choices including latex paint, light wallpaper, light fabrics, selected texture coats. Advanced finishing methods such as Venetian plaster and select veneers are supported using special application techniques. There is no need for special vellums or other nonstandard wallboard finishing materials.
