Money will be raised via tickets for the event and will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides support for people affected by cancer every step of the way, from funding nurses and other specialist health care professionals to building cancer care centres.

“We are so thankful for the support and generosity that our sponsors have shown. These companies have displayed their charitable side by jumping at the opportunity to get involved and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and remember our friends who we have sadly lost. It’s heart-warming to see how supportive and caring our industry is,” says CEDIA managing director Matt Nimmons.

There will be two separate routes, a 55 mile (88.5km) cycle sportive style event for the more seasoned cyclists and a 9 mile (14.4km) fun ride around the reservoir for anyone who wishes to come and join the fun.

Those who wish to take part in the 55 mile (88.5k) ride should donate £50 (A$81.1), while the fun riders will donate £5 (A$8.1) plus £25 (A$40.5) if they would like the cycling shirt.

Those who would like to get involved with the charity but are unable to attend the event can donate to Macmillan Cancer Support through CEDIA’s JustGiving page.
