Pro AV Solutions South Australia (SA) has completed its office renovations, making use of Biamp’s Cambridge Qt X sound masking solutions.

This solution uses a network of discreet ceiling speakers to project a subtle ambient noise that is designed to cover distracting sounds to improve speech privacy.

The organisation uses an open office design involving several teams working in proximity. Cambridge’s sound masking enabled the Pro AV Solutions SA team to maintain privacy and reduce noise interference withing compromising the office’s identity.

Employees recognised a difference immediately around the office because of the office remodel and sound masking installation. Pro AV Solutions SA video production sales Kate Reed notes an improvement in the workplace thanks to the reduced noise and distraction levels from in and outside the office: “Since we renovated and installed the Biamp sound masking system, we’ve all noticed a big improvement in the atmosphere, in the noise that we no longer hear from outside, and from other people.

“You can actually talk to people properly and you’re not being overcome with other noises.”

Pro AV Solutions SA account manager Marc Wilkinson says Biamp has played an integral role in designing the sound masking solution to cater towards the company’s needs.

“Biamp came to assist with the design, incorporating the Qt X system to ensure we can function as a team, but also minimise the interference amongst different departments working in the same area.”
