Sony sees bright future at Integrate 2017
Sony has announced it will be demonstrating a wide range of projectors, displays and applications for the professional, home theatre, education and commercial markets at this year’s Integrate show.
First up will be a demonstration of Sony’s CLED display, which features Sony’s innovative Crystal LED technology. This technology combines ultrafine LEDs and surface mounting to deliver a visual experience beyond any conventional LED array.
Alongside the CLED area will be Sony’s latest Ultra-Short Throw native 4K HDR home theatre projector, the VPL-VZ1000ES. The VPL-VZ1000ES is designed to integrate easily into people’s homes and can be positioned as little as 6” away from the wall. However, it also commands the room with a 254cm image, measured diagonally in 16:9, and when powered off it virtually disappears into the décor.

Another projector that will be on display is the VPL-PHZ10, which is part of Sony’s expanding line of Z-Phosphor laser light source projectors. It has a new fixed wide zoom lens to provide users with a lower-cost, high-quality option for installing laser projections in rooms traditionally geared toward lamp-based technology. Additionally, the VPL-PHZ10’s light source has a total constant brightness of 4,500 lumens for up to 12,000 hours, depending on usage environment.
Also being exhibited is Sony’s new Vision Exchange that was developed to enable the presentation and sharing of content to inspire and engage teams with workgroup-based collaboration. It’s cost-effective, easy to configure and intuitive for every user, making it ideal for universities and colleges of higher education, as well as corporate conference rooms.
Vision Exchange shares each individual’s multimedia content together and even brings in other participants at remote locations to join the discussion as required. Information created by workgroups using on-screen annotation tools or whiteboard with digital tag can then be saved as snapshots and downloaded to their connecting device.
Sony’s NUCLeUS smart digital operating room is another new product that will be at Integrate. This state-of-the-art video-over-IP platform streamlines workflow efficiency in today’s digital operating room by showing visual data in front of the surgeons, while retaining all digitised information centrally.
The final display area at the Sony stand H40 will be dedicated to Sony’s BRAVIA HD and 4K professional displays, which ensure the highest quality image reproduction for every environment and application.
Integrate 2017 will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 29-31 August.
