The partnership combines Sony’s leading edge hardware and expertise in the design and delivery of complex broadcast systems and studio installations with Tripleplay’s specialised IP media solutions which are specifically designed to meet the requirements of communities including corporate, education, hospitality and healthcare.

Globally, Sony has already been working closely with Tripleplay for some time on a variety of projects including Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in South Africa. At this site Sony screens stream Tripleplay Video on Demand, IPTV channels and live broadcasts to all areas of the stadiums. They also provide digital signage showing live games, advertising for concourses and present dynamic menu boards in food and beverage outlets.

The Sony Tripleplay solution also enables all content to be scheduled and zoned so that the correct content is on the correct screens at all times. Sony screens can also be controlled remotely and linked to emergency systems so that fire alarm notices or emergency messages take priority and are displayed automatically.
