Sonance by Dana Innovations, which is distributed in Australia by Amber Technology, has expanded into the commercial market with the introduction of the Professional Series.

Sonance has injected its knowledge of technology and audio distribution, as well as its renowned degrees of invisibility approach to design into the Professional Series to deliver the same premium sound quality for any commercial environment.

The Sonance Professional Series can create an emotional connection with a customer, enhancing their experience with the space and producing a desire to linger and continue to enjoy the environment.

“A lot of residential audio products are installed in commercial spaces because of the design aesthetics. Before Sonance started working on the Professional range we asked commercial integrators and system designers about their positive and negative experiences with residential products in commercial projects. With these insights the Dana Innovations team spent two years developing the Sonance Professional range to satisfy the installer, as well as meet the classic Sonance recipe of class leading design aesthetic with class leading audio performance,” says Dana Innovations chief speaker engineer Todd Ryan.

The new Sonance Professional Series includes a total of 22 in-ceiling, pendant and surface mount speakers that are designed to blend discreetly into the surrounding environment with 70V, 100V and 8Ω performance.

It features a full-fidelity transformer for uncompromised 70V/100V performance, heavy duty voice coil for reliability, high excursion woofer for extended bass response and a chambered one inch tweeter for precise high-end detail.

The series also shares consistent voicing, which creates seamless sonic integration when a range of models are used together throughout a space.

The in-ceiling range includes a 4”, 6.5” and 8” two-way and an 8” woofer, all of which are UL 1480 and UL 2043 certified and shipped with a white grille, tile bridge and C-ring.

Each pendant speaker is supplied with two 16.4” stainless steel suspension cables with snap hook and two Gripple hangers to ensure a safe and secure installation. They are available in black or white (paintable) in 4”, 6.5” and 8” two-way and an 8” Woofer and all models are UL 1480 and UL 2239 certified.

The surface-mount speakers feature the Sonance FastMount bracket system, a front cable connection and tap selector to speed up the installation process and provide a clean appearance.

The surface-mount weather resistant construction is IPX4, Mil Spec 810, and UV IEC 529, allowing them to be used in indoor and outdoor applications. It is available in both black and white (paintable) in 4”, 5.25”, 6.5” and 8” two-way and an 8” woofer with UL 1480 and UL 2239 certification.
