Shade Innovations has upgraded its KAOS platform, introducing a new high-power outdoor motor, a weather-resistant remote and the onyx glide rail system.

Designed for extreme outdoor environments, the KAOS motorised shading system is engineered for applications where traditional outdoor shading systems struggle with wind, weather and long-term durability. The latest upgrades aim to improve performance, smoothness and reliability in demanding conditions.

Central to the update is a 50Nm smart, quiet motor that delivers increased torque for improved operation in challenging outdoor settings while maintaining quieter performance. The motor also incorporates adjustable obstacle detection to enhance operational safety and protect the system over time.

The upgrade also introduces the onyx glide rail system, a redesigned rail platform developed specifically for KAOS. The system is constructed from a proprietary self-lubricating material infused with UV-hardening pigments, designed to withstand prolonged exposure to heat, ultraviolet radiation, wind, salt air and moisture.

Completing the upgrade is a IP5-rated weather-resistant remote, designed to provide reliable outdoor control and improved usability in exposed environments.
