Savant, which is distributed in Australia and NZ by Emersive Technologies, today announced an ultra-high-performance 4K video over IP switching platform that will deliver 4K/60 4:4:4 HDR video distribution over IP with zero frame latency.

With a centralised 10GbE switch enabling Ethernet connectivity throughout the project, and both fibre and copper options, the 4K ultra HD video gives Savant integrators an advantage delivering premium distributed AV content to residential and commercial clients.

The demand for the highest quality experience is met for any job size with the video and audio distribution capability of the new switch, which has the additional advantage of scalability only limited by the size of the network. This allows installation of from 2-128 zones or more.

A transmit chassis for centralised sources and distributed receivers reduce the burden and complexity at the rack and simplify installation.

Leveraging the company’s history in telecom, the Savant Ultra HD video over IP switching solution supports advanced video processing technologies pioneered by Savant including, multi-video/video tiling, video wall and multi-switching applications.

Audio down-mixing capabilities and audio breakout options also mean the new switching platform works seamlessly with Savant’s recently released Pro Audio 4 IP-based switch with unlimited audio zone support and access to popular streaming services.

Savant’s 4K Ultra HD Video over IP switching solution will begin shipping in Q3 2017.
