Sanyo LED LCD television range
As with all of Sanyo’s LCD TVs, the display screens on the new range are liquid crystal displays, however, the difference lies with the LED backlighting which changes the picture quality characteristics dramatically.
LED light technology allows an enormous amount of colour variations and produces a depth of colour that is extremely life-like, giving consumers deeper blacks and vibrant colours whether they are playing video games or watching movies.
The efficient nature of backlighting technology also means that the range is lighter and thinner, making the TVs perfect for wall mounting in the living room, kitchen or bedroom.

Sanyo Oceania managing director Bill Crichton says, “While Sanyo continues to focus on its LCD and plasma ranges; we are thrilled to be launching our LED range in Australia. Complete with a diverse and attractive range of features that reflect the rapid evolution of television technology, the LED backlighting technology is set to shake up the LCD TV market, with its superior picture quality, slim design and environmentally friendly appeal.”
Sanyo’s new LED LCD range offers consumers a brighter picture while being able to produce a better contrast ratio ensuring they do not miss out on the brilliant colours and depth when watching the latest movies. All models in the new Sanyo range offer a picture resolution of 1920 x1080 pixels, for detail and clarity and a brightness of 450 nits and a contrast ratio of 4000:1, guaranteeing images are brighter, darker and more precise, while clarity and depth of colour makes viewing easier in rooms that may not have a lot of natural light.
A built in HD digital tuner in all models offers consumers flawless reception and additional free-to-air digital channels including ABC1, ABC2 and ABC3, SBS ONE, SBS TWO, Seven TWO, GO! and ONE.
Featuring a time shift function which allows consumers to easily record television programs straight to a USB for later viewing, the new LED LCD TV range is perfect for those who hate to miss their favourite program. Recording onto an external 1GB, 2GB or 8GB USB, the new LED LCD range can record up to approximately two hours of television.
The time shift function also enables consumers to rewind live TV – perfect for watching slow motion replays during sports or skimming back over unmissable scenes from a television show.
