Sanus enhances MountFinder and HeightFinder to help customers and installersSanus has announced that it has revamped its MountFinder and HeightFinder tools to provide enhanced assistance for customers and installers.

Launching the improved online tools, Sanus senior international marketing and product manager Rick van Bommel says research into customer behaviour highlighted two areas of confusion that the company has worked hard to overcome.

“Firstly, users don’t always know how to choose what’s right for them and secondly, they can be fearful of the installation process. MountFinder makes the identification of type and model extremely simple and the educational assets we have put together, along with the HeightFinder, demonstrate just how easy it is to install a mount.”

The MountFinder is a comprehensive selection tool that helps users choose the right mount for their TV and the application in which it will be used, while HeightFinder provides instructions on the mounting position and where to drill the holes for the perfect installation.

This visual guide and new accompanying explanatory videos guide the user to the correct type of mount for their TV and circumstances. Once the type is selected and the TV make and model inputted, the MountFinder filters the results by type, making the selection much faster than previously possible. The MountFinder is provided by a database of tens of thousands of TVs, which is updated by a full time resource every day. Clicking on the selected model provides several assets, including instruction manuals, technical drawings and simple video instructions on how to install the mount.

Once the correct mount has been chosen, the HeightFinder tool can be used to determine the correct mounting position. Using a graphical interface, customers select the make and model of their TV, answer a couple of simple questions and the HeightFinder works out the position of the screw holes.

“We want our customers to be confident with their purchase decision and comfortable with the process of installation, and the new tools achieve both these objectives,” says Rick.
