Russound reveals new IC-series speakers as a follow on from its 2018 creation

Audio accessory company Russound has followed through on a 2018 promise to introduce new in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. The new IC-series speakers have a tool-less mounting mechanism called SwiftLock, and are designed to have full musical capacity.

Russound chief executive Charlie Porritt says, “All parts of the chain of components in an entertainment system are important, but it is the speakers that can really make the difference. These new IC-Series loudspeakers perform beautifully, are built to last, and the upper two levels of speakers feature a slick, new installation system that saves installers a great deal of time and results in a strong, secure mounting – with one hand.”

In 2018 the design was introduced at the CEDIA Expo as part of a plan to have them created for 2019. The IC series is an update of current models with a new in-wall model.

The IC-series consist of the 10-series, 20-series and 30-series. Each vary in their style and design, with the 10-series preferred for lower-listening ranges such as background music and the 30-series being more for premium audio. The 20- and 30-series have the mounting mechanism. This allows an installer to mount and fasten the speaker in place using only one hand.
