Raidho unveils X2.8 floorstanding loudspeaker with in-house driver technology

Raidho Acoustics has introduced its X2.8 floorstanding loudspeaker, a three-way speaker system designed and hand-built in Denmark using proprietary driver technology.

The X2.8 features dual 8” bass drivers and offers bass extension down to 32Hz, with Raidho positioning the speaker as a full-range high-end audio solution focused on scale, clarity and low distortion.

All drivers used in the X2.8 are developed and manufactured in-house by Raidho, including the company’s ribbon tweeter technology and aluminium ceramic bass drivers. The ribbon tweeter has a moving mass approximately 50 times lower than a conventional dome tweeter, allowing for faster response and greater precision.

The speaker’s aluminium ceramic bass drivers are designed to combine stiffness and self-damping to deliver controlled low-frequency performance while maintaining timing and detail.

Internally, the X2.8 uses hand-built crossovers with Mundorf components, Nordost cabling and point-to-point wiring.

“The X2.8 has turned out way beyond our expectations. It has the physical foundation of a serious full-range loudspeaker, but it also carries the speed, transparency and emotional connection that make Raidho special,” Raidho Acoustics chief executive Morten Kim Nielsen says.

“To us, this is not just a bigger loudspeaker. It is a statement loudspeaker in the X series.”

Raidho says the X2.8 was designed to deliver large-scale sound reproduction without compromising speed, detail or musicality, while bringing higher-end engineering and craftsmanship into a more accessible product within its range.
