Quickfix Limited and Australian technology manufacturer Kogan today entered into a partnership to bring the new streaming entertainment revolution to all existing household TVs with an affordable, portable new device.

Now any TV can become a Smart TV and have access to affordable unlimited streaming of movies and TV from Quickflix. The new Kogan Wi-Fi enabled Smart TV HDMI Dongle will come pre-loaded with Quickflix, upgrading TVs to now have on-demand instant streaming. It will also bring the whole web and app experience to the biggest screen in the home with Android. This device is compatible with all television sets and monitors with an HDMI input.

In a joint statement, Quickflix Executive Chairman Stephen Langsford and Chief Executive Officer Chris Taylor said, “The Quickflix partnership with Kogan means that the affordable streaming entertainment is now available for all Australians regardless of their budget and without the need for a set top box. We are bringing to market a whole new experience for householders without Pay TV.   Kogan have been extremely successful in designing and retailing quality, affordable audio-visual products and we are delighted to be working with them.”

The HDMI Dongle will retail for only $99 and come complete with Quickflix’s ‘all you can view’ subscription service and pay per view options, including latest release blockbuster movies.

Under the partnership, Quickflix will also be a reseller of the device in New Zealand.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kogan, Ruslan Kogan said “We’re always looking for new, innovative ways to bring the latest technology to more people around the world.

“For years now we’ve been talking and blogging about the future of TV being all about Internet content streaming – watching what you want, when you want. It’s very exciting to now join forces with another great Australian brand and shake things up by making the best content available to any TV – via Quickflix on the Kogan Agora HDMI Dongle. There is now no need to upgrade an existing TV, in order to access the world’s best content.”

The device will be made available within weeks, with pre-sales commencing from next week.
