Audio manufacturer Audyssey designs and develops innovative audio technologies to accurately reproduce studio recordings, movies and live performances. It conducts extensive research and develops technologies to solve problems caused by room acoustics, small speakers and inconsistent volume levels.

Audyssey incorporates psyschoacoustics into all its products and technologies and uses psychoacoustics researchers that use carefully designed stimuli and observe the response of human listeners.

The statistics that are generated are used to come up with consensus on how most of us perceive various sound characteristics including frequency, loudness and direction.
