Procella Audio, manufacturer of high-performance high-output speaker systems for home and professional cinema and music applications, announced today that the P815 biamplified three-way full-range screen channel speaker has been awarded the prestigious Excite award by Custom Retailer magazine. The speaker will be on active demo at CEDIA Expo in Atlanta, in Procella’s booth 4172, which features the first-ever THX Certified Screening Room on a tradeshow floor.

Excite Awards are presented annually by Custom Retailer, an industry-leading publication for custom installers, integrators, and retailers. Each year the magazine asks for nominations of products that stand out for being innovative, high-performing and solutions-oriented for the custom installation professional. The impact that the award-winning products have on the industry is felt in the installers’ productivity, the dealers’ profitability, the clients’ satisfaction and the industry’s vitality.

Winners will receive their awards during the CEDIA Expo, at the magazine’s annual Excite Awards party. This year, the party takes place at the Luckie Food Lounge, which is located near the World Congress Centre show site. Just before the show opens, a complete list of winners will be posted on the Custom Retailer website, and the list will also appear in the print magazine.

Procella’s flagship P815 is a full-range reference-quality speaker designed for large home cinemas, studios (music and post-production), screening rooms and small professional cinemas. This bi-amplified speaker is driven by 1,400Wof on-board high-efficiency class-D power and 28/56bit ADI Sigma DSP control for crossover and boundary compensation. It mates a pro audio 38cm woofer, housed in its own enclosure, to a Procella P8 mid/high frequency module, which has an 20cm pro audio woofer and a 2.5cm high-frequency compression driver on a Procella-designed waveguide. Capable of extension to below 45Hz, the P815 can be operated as a full-range
speaker, compliant with cinema specifications. Power is 700W for the 38cm woofer module and 700W for the P8 module.
