Transmitting HDMI over network cables has always been a matter of jamming all the information into eight or sixteen pieces of copper, and pulling it out at the other end. Now, Pro2 has the new HDMIIP, which takes an IP address and acts as a real network device.

The HDMIIP transmitters will distribute 1080p video and multi-channel audio throughout a network, needing only the appropriate receiver to decode the signal in the highest quality. Multiple HDMIIP can be active on a network, with the choice of which channel to look for at the box behind the display.
