PPDS expands outdoor dvLED digital signage range
Philips Professional Display Solutions (PPDS) has extended its outdoor dvLED range with the launch of Philips Urban LED 5000, 6000 and 7000 Series.
The Philips Urban LED 7,000 comes in 500 x 500mm and 500 x 1,000mm with a choice of 2.9, 3.9 or 4.8-pixel pitch options. It has 6,000 nits of brightness, a high contrast ratio and refresh rates of 3,840Hz for smooth broadcasting and advanced colour subtlety, shading and saturation.

All modules and components feature front and rear access for fast and simplified maintenance. It also has an IP66 rating as the LED 7000 is dustproof, waterproof and salt spray resistant.
The LED 6,000 series is made for outdoor settings for entertainment or advertising at venues, motorways, transportation stations, side of buildings and sports events. It’s designed for viewing distances between 10 and 30m.
Availability is in 1,200 x 1,200mm, 80 x 1,200mm and 800 x 900mm panel sizes with a choice of 6.67, 8.3 and 10-pixel pitch variants while delivering high contrast and high refresh rates of 7,680Hz.
The Philips Urban 6000 offers luminance up to 7,200 nits with an IP65 rating as it’s resistant to water and potentially hazardous or corrosive airborne pollutants. It will continue its visual performances in sub-zero conditions of -20° or temperatures up to 50° without the risk of condensation or breakdown.
The Philips Urban 5000 series is designed to help maximise advertising and communication opportunities around sports venues. It meets the regulations required by professional sports leagues for outdoor LED advertising boards.
It comes in 1,600 x 900mm and 2,000 x 900mm panel sizes with a choice of 6.67, 9.3 and 10-pixel pitches to suit venue sizes and viewing distances. The LED 5000 series delivers clear video content with colour accuracy and clarity. It has high refresh rates to capture high-speed action to allow high-definition cameras capture the content without distortion.
The Philips Urban LED Series is best suited for public venues, high streets and transportation hubs such as bus stations and airports.
