Philips SpeechLive is a web dictation and transcription solution that offers both a real time speech to text service as well as on-demand speech recognition. In addition, it gives access to an external professional transcription service.

The service is growing in popularity amongst customers with an ever-increasing demand for documentation and was boosted over the past months when many companies were forced to implement working from home policies while keeping their operations running ‘as usual’.

“Over the past few months Philips SpeechLive has supported many businesses worldwide to retain their productivity and employee collaboration while working from remote locations. We are happy to announce that this efficient cloud solution is now also available to our customers in New Zealand,” Speech Processing Solution chief executive Dr. Thomas Brauner says.

Speech Processing Solution director of sales APAC Yvonne Kirsch adds that the company is excited for New Zealand customers to be able to experience the solution that will change the traditional dictation and document creation workflow.

“In Australia, the use of SpeechLive has not only been limited to legal and medical professionals. We have seen many other industry professionals like from accounting, real estate, finance and insurance benefiting from this mobile dictation solution,” she says.

Philips SpeechLive is hosted in Australia and Yvonne explains that data privacy is of the upmost importance to the company. To ensure this, it hosts within the region and its Australian-based servers ensure all dictations encrypted, transferred and stored securely.
