Philips Dynalite EnvisionProject software
Replacing the company’s flagship DLight II platform, the new Philips Dynalite EnvisionProject software provides system installers and integrators with programming flexibility, fast-tracking lighting control system set-up and commissioning.
According to Philips Dynalite global application manager Terry Bonham, the EnvisionProject software has been designed to simplify the process of bringing lighting control systems online.
“A series of intuitive pre-programmed ‘wizards’ have been developed to lead the operator through a sequence of well-defined, logical programming steps,” he says.

“Programming tasks that can be complex, infrequently performed, or unfamiliar are made easier and quicker thanks to these system wizards, allowing operators to bring new systems online sooner.”
Additional operational flexibility is provided by the software’s ability to import and export data. Equipment lists prepared in spreadsheet-based programs such as Excel are easily imported into the system, minimising time spent on simple data entry. Also, programming can be easily replicated and reused elsewhere in the project.
“This is particularly advantageous in large lighting control applications such as multi-level hotels and office buildings,” Terry says.
“Once the programming has been finalised for one floor type or room configuration, it can be copied and exported for use elsewhere on the project—a real time saver.”
Time efficiency has also been optimised from a training perspective. “When compared with traditional programming methods, learning how to use the EnvisionProject software is far quicker.
“This is a real advantage for distributors, system integrators and commissioning staff, as they won’t have to dedicate huge amounts of time and resources to bringing new staff up to speed with complex programming routines. Instead, they can focus on getting lighting projects up and running in the shortest time possible.”
Philips Dynalite will be conducting EnvisionProject software training sessions throughout the remainder of 2010.
