VIERA Link, a technology that allows the user to operate all of their compatible Panasonic home entertainment components with a single remote, has further intelligent enhancements to save power: ‘Standby Power Save’, which minimises the power consumption of connected devices; and ‘Intelligent Auto Standby’, which automatically switches connected devices to standby when not in use.

Double Luminance Efficiency for the brightest ever image. NeoPDP advancements deliver improved brightness with double luminance efficiency, to create a stunning, vibrant image. ‘Double Luminance’ effectively doubles the brightness compared with previous models.iv
Deep, rich blacks are produced due to an improved dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000+:1 to further enhance the image quality.
Full HD motion images, such as sport and action movie scenes are displayed with crisp and razor-sharp motion focus thanks to the 600Hz Sub-field Drive. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology detects and displays each frame and creates 12 shorter sub-frames for each 50Hz frame to produce superbly smooth and clear FHD images.
The V10 Series boasts the prestigious THX® Certification, ensuring all models display content with maximum resolution and accurate colour and luminance levels. THX reproduces high quality movie images exactly as the creators intended. In the early 1980’s, Lucasfilm established the THX Standard to stipulate the audio and video quality criteria for cinema environments. VIERA meets the high standards set by the THX Certified Display Program.
The VIERA V10 Series recreates the unique atmosphere of movie images allowing you to enjoy cinema quality in your own home. 24p Smooth Film creates and inserts frames to smooth out 24p content resulting in a smooth picture faithful to the original recording.
The V10 Series is designed for superior colour from all sources, and in particular, Blu-Ray Disc™ movies, through compatibility with the x.v. Colour standard. This standard enables Full HD TVs to display colour more precisely, expressing spatial depth and texture with a high level of accuracy.
‘Digital Cinema Colour’ picture tuning by Panasonic Hollywood Laboratories ensures outstanding movie viewing, as the wide colour gamut covers 120% of the HDTV colour standard, approaching the level of colours seen in cinemas.
The V10 Series also supports the Deep Colour (HDMI V1.3 standard), which eliminates on-screen colour banding for vividness and accuracy.
The VIERA V10 Series has a super-thin design with a 2-inch profilevii, making it a stylish centerpiece in any home.
The addition of a newly-developed AR Filter dramatically improves viewing in brightly lit rooms by reducing the diffusion effect to minimise reflections from external light. Panasonic’s unique low-reflection filter allows you to enjoy clearer images without distracting reflections from sunlight or indoor lighting.
The new VIERA V10 Series connectivity features include:

· VIERA Image Viewer – All V10 models feature a SD Card slot, with AVCHD compatibility, so High Definition movies and still images that you have recorded can be easily viewed with HD image quality. Simply insert an SD/SDHC memory card into the TV’s SD Card slot and playback JPEG images or AVCHD movies
· HDMI – Four HDMI inputs allows you to enjoy superior sound and vision via single-cable connection of other AV products such as Blu-ray Players, Home Theatre systems, and Gaming consoles

VIERA Link allows interlinked operation of Panasonic AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, simply by connecting the devices to each other using an HDMI cable. It has been enhanced with new environmentally-friendly features for 2009, including:
· Standby Power Save minimises the power consumption of connected devices. When the VIERA TV is turned off using the remote, interconnected equipment is automatically switched from standby to off. This reduces the use of standby power, thereby reducing the overall power consumption and energy costs.
· Intelligent Auto Standby automatically switches connected devices to standby when not in use. This new intelligent feature of VIERA Link detects when interconnected Panasonic devices are not active and automatically switches the device from standby to off.
VIERA TVs support the 7-day Electronic Program Guide. Simply press the GUIDE button on your VIERA remote to see the Program guide displayed on your TV screen, so you can see the different programs running at a particular time.
