The new line-up includes four new Full HD 3D Blu-ray Home Theatre Systems – the SC-BTT880, SC-BTT480, SC-BTT400 and SC-BTT300, three Mini Systems – the SC-MAX700, SC-AKX56 and SC-AK16 along with four new Micro Stereo Systems – the SC-HC58, SC-HC38, SC-HC28 and SC-PMX9.

3D Blu-ray Disc Home Theatre Systems

The four new models – SC-BTT880, SC-BTT480, SC-BTT400 and SC-BTT300 – are equipped with 3D Cinema Surround as a standard feature, making these models a perfect match for Full HD 3D playback. 3D Cinema Surround is a Panasonic technology that produces authentic, theatre-like surround sound through real and virtual speakers, providing the same ambient sound as a movie theatre in the comfort of your living room. All new models feature an Anti-Jitter digital amplifier, reducing jitter and distortion and a powerful bass-reflex subwoofer to produce pure, brilliant sound.

Via built-in Wi-Fi on the new SC-BTT880 and wireless LAN on the SC-BTT480 and SC-BTT400, the home theatre systems allow users to access Panasonic’s VIERA Connect – and VIERA Link on the SC-BTT300. VIERA Connect gives users access to a greater range of applications such as Telstra Big Pond Movies, Quickflix, ABC iView, SBS ON DEMAND as well as other popular social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Skype for an even wider variety of online content and capabilities from the comfort of their living room.

Built-in Wi-Fi also offers access to DLNA functionality, which allows home theatre systems to ‘communicate’ with other devices around the home. For example, users can wirelessly stream multimedia – such as music and photos stored on their iPhone, iPad or a DLNA-compatible server such as a PC or Blu-ray disc recorder – to their home theatre system.

For greater convenience and simple, intuitive operations, the new home theatre systems are also compatible with home theatre remote App. This new feature allows viewers to control their home theatre system by tapping and swiping on their smart phone or tablet. Users can input characters with the keypad on their smart phone, and set up their favourite sound effects as well as browse for additional entertainment and movie information.

The SC-BTT880 system feature a convenient integrated lightning pin dock for iPod Touch (7th Generation) and iPhone 5. This feature allows the user to play back music and videos as well as enjoy high quality audio from an iPod/iPhone.

Digital Tube Sound is also a standard feature across all three new models. There are six modes, including pop, jazz, classic, and women’s vocal and rock genres.

The SC-HC58DB, SC-HC38DB and SC-HC28 combine state-of-the-art sound technology and smart networking capabilities with a sleek, modern design. These sophisticated micro systems are perfect for any modern Australian home.

The SC-HC58DB features AirPlay technology, which allows users to wirelessly stream music from an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or Mac/PC directly through a Wi-Fi network, at the touch of a button. AirPlay provides a multi-room listening function, allowing up to six compatible units to simultaneously receive music from an iTunes library stored on a MAC/PC.

Music lovers can enjoy the hundreds of stations offered by Internet radio using the SC-HC58DB or SC-HC38DB. By simply installing the vTuner[viii] application onto their iPhone or iPod they will be able to search for stations and play music from a variety of sources including iPod/iPhone, CD-R/RW and FM radio.

Mini systems

Accompanying the expanded HC Series are three new Mini Systems – the SC-MAX700, SC-AKX56 and SC-AK16. Combining state-of-the-art technology to produce superior sound quality, the new speaker systems have been developed for a variety of uses and design concepts throughout the home environment to suit the most stylish of homes.

The SC-MAX700 features four way extra-large speakers in a new prism colour illumination design, which glows different LED lights in sync with the music. Driven by a full digital amplifier and an impressive 2300W output power, this model produces unparalleled power and sound clarity for all music lovers.

Featuring nano-sized bamboo cone speakers to create audio with clearer vocals and crisper dialogue, the SC-MAX700 also utilises direct-vocal surround to expand sound throughout a listening environment to mimic a concert hall.

The SC-MAX700 and SC-AKX56 both feature a large capacity internal memory, 1000 and 510 songs respectively, along with double USB ports and USB Recording making it easy to create playlists and share music with friends and family. USB Playback is available on all models.
