The S24P16av and S8Hav also provide installers with connectivity to Pakedge’s revolutionary BakPak platform for remote management, diagnostics and trouble-shooting across disparate networks. This allows installers to streamline their aftersales and on-call services by accessing networks via the BakPak app, anytime of the day, from anywhere in the world. Both switches include TruStream technology onboard to prioritise latency-sensitive content such as VOIP, streaming and online gaming.

All Pakedge devices are fully compatible with third-party manufacturers and fit seamlessly into networks from leading automation companies, including AMX, Control4, Crestron and Savant.

The S24P16av is built with Gigabit ports and provides 802.3af PoE power to up to 16 ports. Each of these can be power-cycled in isolation to reboot any failing PoE devices without enforcing downtime across the entire network. Built to handle to strains of large networks with increased traffic from multiple AV appliances, the units also have 4 SFP fibre ports to accommodate longer cable runs when required.

The switch is fully managed and can be configured by CLI, Telnet, web browser or console. This allows for 802.1q VLAN tagging for network separation of connected devices – vital for IP cameras and home automation controllers. Integration with home automation systems (Crestron, AMX et al) means power cycling and control can also be programmed into touch panels.

S8Hav 8-Port PoE+ switch

Pakedge’s S8Hav switch offers 8 PoE ports or up to 4 PoE+ ports for the inclusion of high bandwidth devices such as WAPs, HDMI over IP and high-res IP cameras. The unit will also accommodate fibre with 4 ports for longer cable runs.

Pakedge’s S8Hav switch offers power port flexibility, with the ability to drive traditional PoE devices, as well as high bandwidth PoE+ devices, such as WAPs, HDMI over IP and high-res IP cameras.

• 8 ports can be utilised at 15.4W (IEEE 802.3af).
• Up to 4 ports running PoE+ (802.3at) at 34.2W.
• Hybrid – A mix of ports running high-power PoE+ and standard PoE devices.
