The CEDIA Designer, otherwise referred to as TCD, is a global, cloud-based software program that recently accepted Origin Acoustics into its online database. Origin manufactures architectural loudspeakers and custom audio installations.

The joining of forces has happened immediately and those using TCD can now undertake the planning of surround sound home theatres and other media rooms by instantaneously gaining access to Origin’s range of products. These products include subwoofers, amps, loudspeakers and the recently debuted in-wall and on-wall cinema, director and composer selections.

Created for home theatre designers and designed by home theatre designers, TCD allows professionals to design the media rooms or cinemas of their choice applying products from theatre manufacturers of the highest standard. The result being A-grade technical designs in a matter of minutes, rather than the weeks it would take for any other cinema designer. TCD eliminates dysfunctional equipment combinations while aptly designing and accurately integrating the Origin speakers, subs and amps now available in the database.

Integrated with D-Tools’ SI 2017 software, The CEDIA Designer offers installers an all inclusive cinema room design tool that allows users to export a TCD design into D-Tools via a CSV file, calculate local area pricing, TAX, required labor and associated costs, in addition to importing TCD’s 3D CAD drawings into Visio.
