New range of Antennas from Hills
The new Tru-Spec series of Yagi antennas come after extensive research and development by a dedicated team of engineers and technicians, and bring with them new advances in workmanship and durability.
The antennas are produced from a new automated machine in the Hills Adelaide factory. The new machine brings with it a manufacturing technique well ahead of the market, providing customers with robust and technically advanced products built for the best possible digital performance. Importantly, the manufacturing of these products has been maintained wholly in Australia.
The shape of the Tru-Spec antennas has been derived from advanced computer modelling techniques, allowing Hills to obtain antenna performance that more closely matches the required specifications for digital UHF TV reception. The Tru-Spec Yagis have a tuned response, ensuring high gain on the wanted frequencies whilst also rejecting noise and interference outside this range. This ensures not only the clearest possible reception but best noise performance, minimising pixelation.

These antennas incorporate the new Hills BoomLock manufacturing technology (patent pending). This new technology development ensures the robust 8mm antenna elements are securely bonded to the boom using a patented mechanical swaging technique, without the need for fasteners. This provides a bonding technique that is strong and corrosion resistant for Australian conditions.
The low loss F type balun is enclosed in an ultrasonically welded housing that is UV stabilised and excludes water ingress. This design ensures the antenna will continue to perform in the harshest of environments for many years.
A new mounting clamp design allows for quick and safe installation to the mounting pole.
